Focus: Bounders/Donkey Kicks
</aside>
| Progression 1 Intro | Bear walks; reinforcing a “higher rebound” through the toes |
| Progression 2 | Side-to-side donkey kicks; reinforce a straighter leg during the drill |
| Progression 3 | Bounder x3 to handstand snap-down |
| Progression 4 | Bounder x3 to handstand snap-down to BHS |
| Progression 5 | Bounder x3 to handstand snap-down |
<aside> ❓
The Why? Each and every class we need to continue to reinforce athletes being able to catch themselves on their hands for tumbling. Donkey-kicks and bounders allow for that. Moving through various leg positions will help build the level appropriate skills

Corrections: There should be no back arch through mid-back and the head should remain in. We are trying to get the armpit stacked over the elbow and wrist.

Focus: Elevated handstand “punches” to connection backwards - Place block at end of TT or Air Track
</aside>
| Progression 1 Intro | Hands on elevated surface, 3 handstand “punches” to L-stand, snap-down rebound |
| Progression 2 | Hands on elevated surface, 3 handstand “punches” to handstand, snap-down rebound |
| Progression 3 | Hands on elevated surface, 3 handstand “punches” to handstand, snap-down to hollow body or straight leg candlestick |
| Progression 4 | Hands on elevated surface, 3 handstand “punches” to handstand, snap-down to BHS or Back Tuck |
| Progression 5 | Hands on elevated surface, 3 handstand “punches” to handstand, snap-down to hollow body or straight leg candlestick |
<aside> ❓
The Why? Working the appropriate handstand position through to a connection.

<aside> 🚧
Corrections: Watch the connecting body position to remain in a hollow body and not lead with the head.

Focus: Backward motion to Handstand
</aside>
| Progression 1 Intro | Backbend down; stand at base of wedge mat and backbend |
| Progression 2 | Backbend down with leg lift; stand at base of wedge mat and backbend |
| Progression 3 | BWO to handstand, to plank; start standing at base of wedge mat |
| Progression 4 | BHS to handstand hold against wedge mat against wall |
| Progression 5 | BWO to handstand, to plank; start standing at base of wedge mat |
<aside> ❓
The Why? We are stacking shapes and adding movement. Adding backward movement to the handstand position while maintaining the appropriate handstand shape.
</aside>
<aside> 🚧
Corrections: Athletes need to be able to pass through and demonstrate each body shape and position.
